WCRG AGM, November 18^th, 2008

Chairman's Address: Lesley gave the assembled members a brief recap of the year, followed by the presentation of the thank you gifts to Amy Cousins, Bridget's faithful dressage helper this year, as well as to 'Lynn what does the door and picks up the poo at the RDA' (apologies for not knowing her surname). We will ensure she receives her gift at the next RDA competition.

Presentation of the 'Amorous Imp' cup for accumulated dressage points this year went to Rachel Barnett.

 

Talk and Chat Address: Nancy gave a brief run-through of the year's talk and chats, asked for any bright ideas to be emailed or sent to her, and expressed her disappointment at the sudden cancellation of the Olympic vet Jenny Hall's chat, and the poor attendance of the panel of experts evening. She hoped the members are looking forward to the side-saddle demo organized for April and promised lots of other good things for the year to come.

 

Treasurer Address: Rachel thanked Bridget for her hard work in organizing the dressage competitions for the club as these have contributed greatly to the club's strong finances. She explained the bulk of membership fees go directly to the BRC, but that they do provide public liability insurance cover to all members. She explained that raffle tickets would be available in the interval, £1 a strip, proceeds to be split between the club and the Wilts Air Ambulance. Membership fees will stay the same for 2009. Copies of the overview of income and expenditure were available for anyone who wished to take a look.

 

Election of committee: Tina Elliott is standing down from the committee after 8 years, we were unable to present her with a gift as she was unable to attend, but we will ensure she receives it.

All the rest of the committee is willing to be re-elected. Proposed: Lesley Higgins
